This homage to the works of Kander & Ebb is a brand new musical commissioned by Carnival Entertainment for P&O Cruises on their adults-only ship, the Arcadia.
Drawing on the worlds of Cabaret and Chicago, we devised an under-world of faded grandeur, that contrasted with the polished chic of the Palladium Theatre, on board the Arcadia.
A double-spiral staircase set on a revolve gave multiple opportunities for levels and staging. In the finale, the structure resolved, as a secondary staircase flanked the opposite side, turning the structure into a symmetrical grand staircase, framing the leading ladies reconciliation.
